Cannon Beach
Cannon Beach is a pleasant little coastal town. It is unfortunately altogether too close to Portland. It is packed with trendy shops and tourist attractions and features a very nice collection of art galleries. The coastal scenery is incredibly beautiful. If you want to find a parking place show up during a typically nasty winter storm.
That is Glennette posing at the base of the world's largest Sitka spruce near Cannon Beach. This is the type of tree used to make early airplanes, including the Spruce Goose
One can get dizzy looking up at the gnarly branches and burls of the giant Sitka Spruce.
