Mosier
Mosier suffers from being so close to I-5, but is well repaid with its stunning view of the Columbia River and Gorge. Cherry and pear orchards rule the landscape and support the economy. You can even buy a "Cherry Farmers' Calendar" at their web page and help support the economy yourself! The town has a variety of older and interesting buildings. It also sports a new group of solar powered condominiums with fantastic gorge views. Its a great place to take a break if you are driving I-5.
Welcome to Mosier. Going east one can take the old Columbia River Highway about eight miles to Rowena. It offers a great combination of Columbia Gorge views and steep switchbacks that keep you from looking! To the west is a closed section of the old highway that is now a hiking trail.
A hum of activity during picking season this co-op warehouse looks boarded up the rest of the year.
The Fairydell Store is Glennette's kind of story (cutesy) so I took the picture and see checked it out.
The Route 30 building houses a roadside restaurant and a bonifide antique car dealership. The display usually has two or three rare cars for your review, and just a step away you can buy a tasty ice cream cone.
