Monroe
Parked halfway between Eugene and Corvallis on Highway 99 West on the west side of the Willamette river, Monroe is lost in the flatness of the Willamette valley. Like many small towns on old Highways 99-W and 99-E prosperity departed Monroe when the I-5 freeway pushed up the valley center.
